About Kamar Raja


  • Kamar Raja is a comfortable traditional Papuan-style accommodation in Raja Ampat. It was built in 2014 and has served many tourists, both domestic and international. The accommodation partners with the local community to provide food and labor, aiming to improve the local economy and empower the community. The workforce is trained to develop skills for future independent work.

Private Beach

  • Kamar Raja is a secluded retreat nestled in the village of Selpele, Waigeo Island, West Papua. Its pristine, long, white-sand beach offers a private paradise, far from the bustling village.
  • You can unwind by reading under the shade of beachside trees, or simply soak in the romantic atmosphere with your partner. The gentle sounds of chirping birds and lapping waves create a serene ambiance unique to this idyllic location.
  • Balobe is a traditional Papuan fishing technique involving a spear called a kalawai. For an additional fee, you can try this thrilling activity and experience the local culture firsthand

Snorkeling

Only by staying in the Kamar Raja can you do snorkeling activities along the coast which has various types of beautiful coral reefs. If you are lucky you will meet Wobegong the “walking shark”.

Wayag

If staying in the kamar raja means that there is only a little time left, you can already visit the beautiful and charming Wayag Island. Only 1 hour 30 minutes wayag island is in sight.

Pyainemo

The distance to Pyainemo from the kamar raja is only 1 hour 30 minutes.

Access Way

Access the kamar raja To reach West Waigeo Raja Ampat you can take a pioneer ship from Klademak port near the people’s port location in Sorong city. The ticket price is only Rp. 115,000. Or, you can go by Marina Express boat to Waisai city then continue the journey by boat to the island.

Enjoy the natural beauty of West Waigeo by visiting islands such as Selpele Village, Manyaifun, Mutus, Meosmanggara. Rent a longboat from Kamar Raja for a short trip and amazing underwater exploration
